My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    The stone is from Christie Cut Stone in Memphis.

      Beautiful house and beautiful porch. My favorite on Houzz. What are the dimensions of this front porch? Brick make and model? Thanks for posting the pics and info.

      Thank you for your interest in our home. The porch is 40' wide by 10' deep. The brick material is a peer from General Shale that has since been discontinued.

      Thanks for the info. Are you aware of a similar brick material that's still available? I spoke with Christie Cut Stone earlier this week about supplying the stone for our build. Beautiful work again!

      I don't believe they have a replacement for that brick. We were looking for some recently for a different area on this house and they didn't have any replacements.

      Thanks. Do you recall the stain you used on the porch ceiling? Yellow pine tongue and groove, I assume?

      The ceiling is a 2x6 t&g yellow pine. The stain was custom matched on site, no true color here.

      Thanks. I'm trying a SW exterior stain (Hawthorne) on some test boards today and it isnt even close. Do you recall the brick & mortar used on the rest of the exterior? I noticed you used two different mortars- one with the stone (buff perhaps) and another with the brick (desert or light buff maybe).
