So, this morning I was washing dishes and I see what at first believe to be a big bug on the kitchen curtain. I look closer before about to kill it and see it is a tiny lizard. Not sure if the little guy came in from the outside, from plants, a new indoor co inhabitant or what. Wherever he came from, I managed to gently capture him and release him to the patio before the cats discovered a new "toy". It might have been a brown anole but those are not native to NJ (so must have come in with a plant), though it might have also been an Italian Wall lizard baby (which are in the NJ/NYC Metro Area as an introduced species from the Mediterranean), but it was a first.
