My new Hoya sp rangsan hybrid finally arrived yesterday on my birthday from Thailand. It lost a few leaves but I noticed about 5 peduncles . Right now it is being supported on a support from when I had orchids last year. Should I get a hoop trellis for it?? One of the patents is Hoya parasitica and the seller doesn't know what the other parent is. Does it like to hang down or does it need a trellis??? Should I water it more since it has peduncles. I don't see any buds yet. I hope it doesn't abort blooming from stress from being transported. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Yeah. It lost the 2 yellow leaves but it still is healthy.

If you havent done it yet. Pot it up into a very good draining soil, put a hoop or trellis in the pot and tie it up to it. Let it recover from the trip and re-potting in a bright place, but no fert. don't stress it out, and in a month, or when you see growth, give it some fert. a light feeding.

I don't think you'll loose the peduncles, you don't know the variety? Just one of its 'parents'? Do you know what the flower is suppose to look like?

Other than normal hoya care, after it recoups from potting/travel...it should be fine and growing in a little time.
