Can you post a photo? There are many different kinds of black spots that can appear on tomatoes.

Also, when you post a photo, please indicate whether any other parts of the plant (leaves, stems) have any symptoms.

The leaves and stems seem ok.

Is the green fruit affected as well?

A picture of the plant the tomato came from would help, too.

I'll try when it quits raining, no rain all summer now it's been raining two days in a row and I hear more is to come, but we need it.

If green fruit is affected, the most likely explanation is bacterial spot. However, there would most likely be foliage spotting as well.

It looks too firm to be anthracnose. Stinkbug damage would probably show more dimpling and not have such neat margins on the spots.
