I'm looking at a 40x10' plot of land which has some perennials from the previous owner but which I also want with to plant new perennials over the next month. I've never set up an irrigation system before so some of the basic concepts are new to me. Can someone point me in the right direction: how do I decide between a soaker hose and drip irrigation? The existing perennials have done fine without irrigation but I assume new plants will require it. Thanks for any help.
