It might help if you knew what species this is... voodoo lily is a very broad term that could refer to 100s of plants. Burying the pot with a tarp could work but is all that work really easier than just bringing it inside and forgetting about it?

I agree, without knowing the species it's difficult to say. Some plants called Voodoo Lily come from cold climates, but a lot come from very warm climates.

sauromatum venosum Is tough as nails and has survived 3 years in my zone 5 garden. however I had plenty of extras every year and just left some of the smaller bulbs in the ground.

• It bloomed this year, the bloom was huge and burgundy. I can't find a pic of it. This is the year before this year. It is a little stub now since it bloomed. Mabey it will leaf out, i don't know.

That's most likely amorphophallus konjac and should be fine outside. Keeping it dry when dormant would be key
