I think I would remove the bar stools as it doesn't look as there is a "over hang" for the counter anyway - and center the table under the fixture. It's too close to the window right now.

Is there room to put a little "Bar" on that far wall and put the stools there?

Put in bench seating in the corner (both directions) then a round table with a chair or two on other side. (Search "bench seating corner room" on pinterest).

You could also possibly keep the rectangle table and orient it the other way (per 3rd pic).

Change the light fixture :)

Do you have room to turn the table 90 degrees so it is near that back wall? I would try that first, and if not, find a large round table to use in the corner. You can get one with leaves if you sometimes need it to be larger.

For that wall you could get a baker's rack , move the table and chairs under the chandelier , if you can get one that is a bit bigger that one seems to be a bit on the small side.

It would help tremendously to remove the bar stools from the kitchen area. I love the dark rustic look of the kitchen, and the modern feel of the bar stools don't really go with it. Perhaps look into some shelves for the blank wall to fill up that space. It would look so cute to place grains and spices inside mason jars to occupy those shelves!

I agree with everyone about removing the bar stools and giving the table some more breathing room. I would not recommend a built-in bench with your windows. Add full height draperies or a big piece of artwork to add some contrast and interest to the area.
