This is a very common issue with lantana. My suggestion is that you cut your plants back all over, that you dead-head rigorously, and that you fertilize with a diluted soluble fertilizer every few days, depending on how often you need to water.

Keep your scissors/snips handy when growing these lantana; they really have to be forced into blooming.

Be sure that pesky spider mites and lantana lacebug aren't the problem.

Very good advice rhizo thank you. Ken I do not do pictures, I know I am a dinosaur! The plants are very healthy a nice rich green just no blooms. I have been feeding them once a week with a soluble fertilizer like Miracle grow diluted like rhizo mentioned. I have kept them pest free and dead headed. They are in the ground in well amended garden soil.

i am surprised anything in the ground needs that much fert ... but knock yourself out ..

i just wanted to see the pic to see if it was in a tiny pot.. compared to a huge plant type scenario ...

Very mild fert, has made them big strong plants, lush and green just no blooms. The fert is low in N too. Sounds like no bloom is not such a rare thing.

beigestonehill, how about jump starting them? Cut them back rather heavily and hold off on the fertilizer. Maintain moisture levels as needed; I think of lantana as a heat and drought tolerant plant once established.

Just put my glasses on and looked at them carefully yesterday they appear to be setting some new flowers. If I can keep them in bloom they are such a fantastic plant for our hot dry summers. Thanks rhizo and Ken for your help

I have a Lantana that is 10 yrs. old that I put out for the summer on the south side of the house foundation....I just learned to prune back in early spring.
