We are remodeling a mountain cabin kitchen. Are adding a copper farmhouse sink, taking out the appliance garage, planning to tile the backsplash and use granite or some other stone for the countertops. Not planning to replace the sold oak cabinets for now, but might be open to painting them? I was leaning toward soapstone counters and a travertine backsplash, but granite is so pretty! Suggestions? I need to cut down the overwhelming red tones.
