Hi Ramon. A few questions so we can narrow down the best thing for you to do.

1. Did you mean red spider mites?

2. Is it winter or summer where you are? Are your plants inside or outside?

3. What treatments have you done so far?

Systemic pesticides should be a last resort, when the pests are out of control and all else have failed. I have personally never met a bug or mite that horticultural oil or alcohol can not kill. The only exception is scale and I just throw away the plant right off the bat. Scales have life cycles that are too much trouble to follow.

I don't know where you are located Martin but if you are in the USA you can take your plant to any local agricultural extension office for a free pest and disease ID. If you are not in the US you may still have such resources available to you if you look into it.

If it is spider mites they are pretty easy to get rid of. Sulfur rose spray works great - and it's a good idea to remove any leaves that are obviously damaged. If your plants are pretty healthy you can remove all leaves but it's better to leave some around the growing tips if they aren't in too bad a shape. DO NOT USE sulfur if you have treated with any oil based products without first washing your plant and leaves thoroughly with soapy water. Sulfur + oil will cause phytotoxicidity in plants. Sulfur is pretty safe for indoor use. Washing carefully with very diluted dish soap water and then rinsing also removes mites and some eggs.

If you have treated with anything oil based, and you don't want to risk sulfur, try AVID or Forbid4, both of which can be obtained in very small quantities on Ebay. PLEASE do read the cautions on the labels as they are toxic and should be handled with care. With mites it is best isolate infected plants, wipe the areas they were in down with straight bleach or bleach spray, and wash your hands AND change your clothes between handling plants. I had a broad mite issue last summer and I learned a ton about fighting those incredibly difficult pests. Much worse than spider mites. Thankfully I had free help from the Unniversity of Georgia!

Good luck and keep us posted. I hope this is helpful to you. Whatever you treat with, followup with a second treatment 7 to 10 days later and keep your plants out of full sun until they are dry.

Mite eggs btw can last 6 weeks or more before hatching so infected plants should be quarantined at least 2 months or more after treatments before being re-introduced to your collection. Most mite species also have a narrow range of temperature and humidity requirements so it also helps if you can get a positive ID on your exact species.

Ramon Martin is in Barcelona Spain, where low evening temps are about 66ºF and daytime highs are about 85ºF, humidity about 60%.

He likely has his adeniums out in his garden, but we'll wait for him to respond with further details. I imagine he must be dealing with an infestation he's found difficult to eradicate.
