Avocado Growers

Gulf coast Texas avocado

Hello all and appreciate any info or advice and giving an update photo on my avocado. It's been in the ground now for 3 weeks. We have been getting a lot of rain probably 8 inches in the past 2 weeks, and I believe it's just soaked and needs to dry out. But just wondering what the experts think. Thank you all.

It may take as long as 60 days to overcome transplant shock. Keep an eye on soil moisture.

It could be possible your rootball is dry (airy mix)...and the surrounding natives soil is wet. Make sure your understand what your small rootball is doing.

This is not a ideal time to be planting trees in the hot gulf coast area. But just give the plant some shade from the noonday and afternoon sun (this is important and especially for a young avocado), and some time to recover.
