Indoor Ghost Pepper Log

Starting a indoor grow with ghost peppers. Righ now I have a chocolate, purple, yellow, peach, white, super white, and one white hab. They were started in 100% worm castings and 2" pots. I started with 3 of each and had 99% germination rate. One hab did not germinate. All were in a tray with a dome and heat pad. I kept only one of each. They are now under my led in 6" pots. Trying some seeds from Australia this time around. Best germination rate of any seeds prior.

They are in ocean forest bag soil, worm castings, and myco when transplanted.

They will be put into 5 gallon smart pots down the road using my own nutrient mix. Water only will be added from start to finish. They will be in a room under a 600 watt MH with digital ballast.

I may only grow 5 in the room and 2 under led. Here are some pics to get started. Peace

Pic 4 august 13- transplanted to 6"

Nice growth from 6" transplant only 2 weeks

My outdoor bhuts and reapers are still going. Lost alot of flowers due to 110 temps. Now in the 90's should drop to the 80's next week. Hope to get more pods but yields will be weather related. Here is a pic of a few reapers. Most bhuts have been picked but still have 3 plants that are just starting to flower now due to temps.

A couple things....... Hate to break the news to you, but I don't think the pic above is Reapers (from what I can see on my phone- can't "pinch and zoom" on pic- maybe you accidentally posted the wrong pic?). Second, what is a "Super White" ghost pepper vs. a "white?" Got a link, or is that your own name for it?

No they are reapers. Here is a better pic.

I purchased all bhuts including the super white on ebay from Australia. I bought a 5 pack and the white looked more like a hab. So found another who called his super white from Australia that looked more like a bhut.

Have had some poor results from some us seed peddlers so tried outside the us. All 15 bhuts germinated. Never had that before.

I prerfer bhuts to reapers for eating so am trying different types for heat vs taste.

My apologies. Houzz sucks on my phone, can't zoom in on pics. They looked close to Yellow Brain Strains (I couldn't see the tails). Very cool, Sven. I didn't realize there was a yellow strain for Reapers too. I've heard that there's a Chocolate strain in the works though. Best of luck!

Just transplanted the 6 bhuts to 5 gallon smart pots. They are now under the 600 watt MH. Running the 600 at 75% 450 watts on the digital ballast for a week then up to 600 watts.

Pic update after topping. It definitely keeps the plants short. i would not do it again the way i did it. if topping again i will do it when smaller like i did the hob. Have many flowers and some small pods forming. topping at 8-12" really stunts them. However keeping them small is needed because they share the room with 13 ball pythons. if i did not top it would be a jungle in there now as i have 2 outside transplanted yellow reapers. one is being trained for bonsai. one hab and 7 bhuts and one hibiscus.
