this is a wonderful space, are those copper counters on the one side?

we are preparing for a kitchen remodel and my husband wants to incorporate copper counters, so i was wondering if that was a good surface for the kitchen.

Hi Rightwrong, I just got a notice from Houzz and it looks like my response to your question didn't register! Here is my answer and I am so sorry it is delayed. Copper counter tops are great as long as you are fine with a "living" patina. They are prone to color changes and scratching and they take a more maintenance than a granite counter top. There is another option which is a "liquid metal coated" counter top. It looks like copper and you can have it aged like copper and you can also repair the finish more easily than a true copper counter top. I love to use the copper but I always make sure my clients are fine with the aging process!

Warm and comfortable. What color is on the walls and cabinets?
