Not sure what part of Jersey you are in but I buy hydroton from a hydroponic store in West Caldwell. If you do a search for hydroponics you might find something closer to you.

What I'm looking for are some recommendations of highly porous expanded clay aggregate or similar products for semi hydro.

I'd like to know what others are using and their successes.

I've already ruled out Growstones due to the problem too many people have with the high ph due to the calcium that is added to the product.

There are so many different brands of "clay pebbles" and sources, I don't want to spend my money on something that doesn't wick well.
