Black mondo grass: full sun only?

last modified: 10 years ago

I am guessing it needs full sun, due to the color. I am
looking for dark or purple grass-like accent to accompany / contrast with variegated
Japanese forest grass and some Bowles’ Golden Sedge. The Japanese forest grass
is in midday sun (shade morning and later afternoon) and the Bowles’ Golden
Sedge is in bright dappled shade (I tried that in that same light conditions as
the JFG, but the sedge could not take that amount of sun.)

Thanks!
