You have blue eyes, therefore you will look fabulous on the teal. That room deserves the teal as well.

Thanks, Houzzers! You are such a great resource. The sofas are both by Mitchell Gold Bob Williams. The teal (which I have chosen!) is Liam. The MGBW designer came by today to help me chose some upholstery for a chair to pull the room together and I am loving the Edie chair for its curvy lines (thanks, Manon). I will go to the showroom next week and give it the sit test. I'll keep you all posted!

@Susan Mills - I will post some photos tomorrow of the whole room. It's not finished of course but the sofa is sitting across from the piano. It links the two ends of the room. One end is the dining area (we have given our dining room over to the tv, keeping the living in living room), the other is where the chaise and another yet-to-be-purchased chair will be by the front windows and one of two non-working fireplaces. Congrats on your sofa, Cass :)! Enjoy! If you are in the pillow stage now, perhaps, you can draw some colors from the art you are planning to have in the same area of your room or above the sofa. cass, joss & main had a good looking down ikat pillow in shades of teal and gold in todays sale. it was under the sale for
'lighter side' and it's called peacock (for colors, no bird). worth a look

Ok, so if anyone is still listening, we had to move from Versailles as my family/landlord sold the building! Now my teal sofa and silver chaise will be living in Brooklyn. In a lovely (but not spectacular) apartment. The good news is I have a separate dining room. Yeah, that's the only good news. Will post photos after painting is finished.

Hi! I am very happy with the sofa and I love the chaise but I must say if I had known we would have to move I may have waited to upholster it in silver. The walls are now painted, in BM Revere Pewter which helps as it works well with the silver. My Barcelona chair is in the shop - two of the straps are broken - so I'm waiting to see how that will work in the room before I post photos. I really need a great rug now. Any suggestions much appreciated.
I do have some photos of the new foyer which I will post. The Chinese chest and the pendant are from our favorite shop in Narrowsburg, NY -The River Gallery.
The dining room needs a rug also, and I am working on the buffet.

Unfortunate that this photo does not do the chest justice. The front is painted - red and yellow design.

definitely the teal blue velvet with the nailhead trim...sounds beautiful and striking with your black, white and silver things...and how many times can you have a room that sounds like it is "just made for a teal sofa"!

Why did you put red and white pillows, well not white but it's close, on a blue couch. It sort of looks way to patriot in my opinion.

The pillows are actually quite orange, but I get your point.
