RRD? South Africa

I just noticed this today on South Africa and the cane is now removed, bagged, and in the garbage can. Here are some pictures. Any input would be appreciated and this is/was one of my favorite bushes. TIAl

South Africa does have a lot of thorns.

We don't have RRD here but that looks pretty normal to me - I am seeing that sort of growth on many of my roses right now.

I am sure someone more experienced will chime in.

Not RRD. It'd look like mutation, broomy;intense coloring. good news yours is not. Congrats!

No problem kentucky_rose:-) i had similar case on my Impetatrice Farah. I just gave it a time and cane turn into nice and thick one. I can understand your relieve. We are on the same page. Glad your South Africa is alright. Happy gardening:-))
