toggle spray on pull down faucets

We currently have a Hansgrohe faucet and hate the feature that if you use spray function, you must turn off faucet to return to stream. Looking for new faucet and Grohe faucets have mixed opinions online--some customer comments say they have same feature and some say you can change spray to stream without turning off. Has there been an update in their design?

Try a Delta! I have the Leland.

I have a Hansgrohe with that annoying feature (great faucet otherwise--it's my second) and a salvaged-from-previous-kitchen AS Colony on my prep sink.

It's just as good as the pricier faucet, but the sprayer button goes both ways. (To be fair, I've never heard of ANY faucet other than Hansgrohes that won't flip both ways with the button.)

The AS Colony is not the height of style, but you know how it is when your faucet dies and you need what the hardware store has like NOW? I do think some of the "plain" old American brands compete well enough quality-wise to consider.

Actually, Hansgrohe makes both kinds, even within the same design. I have the Citterio WITH a toggle button.

I have the Grohe K7 and you do not need to turn it off to switch from spray to stream. You can also keep it on in spray without holding the button. I love it.

I have the Grohe Bridgeford , and really hate the fact that the button has to be held on for spray! I so often need, and want to use two hands under the spray. I use the spray 80-90% of the time, so it's really annoying.

Not an inexpensive faucet either, so I guess I'm stuck with it for a while, at least otherwise it is very well made and nice looking.

It is my first pull down so I did not know what questions to ask, only wish I had known about this forum when I was selecting it...

I have the Delta Trinsic. Each setting stays on until you press the button to change it.

I have a Delta Savile and you can switch back and forth between stream and spray without turning it off and you don't have to hold the button down.

    Delta here, too.

The Moen Indi lets you switch.

Mamapatti - the Grohe faucets differ depending on which line it is. Like most brands, not every Grohe faucet operates the same way. The Grohe Ladyluxe Cafe is one I would avoid because you have to hold down the button for spray. The Grohe Ladylux3 line (there are several faucets within that "3" line - a traditional pull-down, a "pro" pull-down, and a pull-out) all have a button that you do not need to hold down, and also can switch back and forth between spray and stream without having to turn off the water. Love my Grohe Ladyluxe3.

If you are considering a faucet and can't figure out whether the spray feature works how you'd like (often the written descriptions are puzzling), call the customer service number of that brand and ask them. But be specific with them about which faucet you are looking at.
