Actually, don't recall ever seeing a mantis here either!

You have such a huge selection! They are wonderful! And we do get the occasional Mantis here in Alabama, but I haven't seen one this year.

Thanks you guys. To be perfectly honest... I rarely see mantids around here. When we lived down the hill in a lower elevation, we had them all the time. It's a lot cooler up here in the Sierras in the winter and we get an occasional snow storm maybe once a yr, so I think they don't over-winter well here normally. But the last few yrs have been a little warmer than normal in the wintertime. Haven't had a one-day snow for maybe 4-5yrs now. So that could be why they're showing up more. We saw lots of babies earlier this spring. She was the only adult I've seen tho. Not that they couldn't be out there in all my messy weeds and stuff...
