How hot does the exterior of the unit get? Would it burn skin if touched? I'm thinking about setting beverages on it, putting your feet up, or the possibility of kids being injured.

    We do not recommendation as putting anything, such as feet etc on the firepit. As to child's safety, please be careful with children around any firepit
