Bishop's Castle

Bishop's Castle is an older Austin rose, but still worth growing. I got it because I read a lot of postings saying that it tolerates heat well, and Hoovb's photos of it were very convincing. Well, it does fairly well in the heat even if, like almost all my roses, it stops blooming in the worst of it. Some photos I see of it show long gangly canes, like a climber, with weak necked flowers. My three plants are only a couple of years old, but are pretty bushy so far, and flowers aren't weak necked, so I'm posting just to show the variation. Fragrance is fairly heavy, enough so that I can smell them from yards away.
