Beautiful! I always love seeing your pics of CANDICE. I just tried to order her from Ludwigs (among other roses...), but their cart wasn't working so I emailed them and they said they're done for the season. Bummer. Guess I'll have to wait til next yr to get her and any others I wanted from them...

Oh Helen your Candice is gorgeous! I dont really like stripes usually but this one of yours stole my heart.Excellent as always! May i ask where did you buy her? how big her bloom can be?And other question is how do you find quality of Regan Roses? Thanks:-))

Elvi, I ordered Candice from Ludwig's branch in US. Beth mentioned that they are done with this season but you can always order for the next season. The blooms are 3"-3.5". Attached is the full plant in a 21" width x 17" height pot for your reference.

I ordered bare root roses online from Regan and picked them up locally to save on the shipping cost. Overall, they have good products. It's better to order the bare roots from them than to buy their potted roses because their potted roses aren't cheap unless they are on sale like last Labor Day. I understand we're in the drought in California, so to water all of the potted roses must be really expensive. On the other hand, if they have something that I really like then I don't mind paying more for a certain rose. Last year I paid something like $45 for a Black Magic potted rose.

Lovely roses and photos! I just got Candice a couple of weeks ago and she's still quite small but just produced a bud. How long have you had yours? Is it in full, all day sun? I'm wondering if the blooms will retain their color better if I position it with morning sun and some afternoon shade?

Carol, not only Tropical Lightning has an amazing color, it also has mild fragrance.

Ann, I have had Candice for about six months. Mine has morning sun and a bit of shade in the late afternoon. If yours is still in a pot you can test at different locations in your garden and let us know the result. Helen
