Do young fig trees produce smaller figs?

I've had these figs for 2 seasons now and this year they have quite a few figs but they are smaller than all of your pictures look. Is this because younger fig trees produce smaller figs? Will they still have full flavor if allowed to ripen properly?

Yes ,they do produce smaller fruits when young.

If in pot ,it matters how many fruits you let grow,if too many formed,then the young little ones need to be taken out,to help tree ripen the rest.

It takes about 80 to 90 days of Summer to ripe the fruits ,counting from when you notice them.

Thanks Herman! Ok so I will snip off the little guys. I have all my figs inside a greenhouse or my sun room now to hopefully ripen everything, we are already getting nights right around freezing. They probably still need at least another month for the smaller ones....
