My newest Brain Blast!!!

Ok,,,now you know there is always a back story, and I think this is funny! My friends and I went out to dinner to a place called Culvers. We don't have one around me, therefore I have never heard of it. For dessert we had ice cream. It came in this cute little cup and I asked my friends if I could have their cups for my plants. So, bless my friend's mom's heart, she washed them for me when we got back to their house.

A couple days later, when we did a Blueberry Festival Parade in a very small town, afterward there was an ice cream "social". How cute. Kinda felt like I was in the past. There was no charge for the ice cream but they asked for a donation which was fine. I got into line but my friend's neighbor, who loaned her the trailer we used for our float was 5 people ahead of me and bought my ice cream! YUM!! Vanilla ice cream with blueberry sauce poured over the top!

So as we are eating ice cream and talking and I kept looking at the ice cream cup with a lid. Something was nagging at me but I didn't know what. THEN it hit me!!!! It was like someone hit my forehead with a two by four! Now when I was young (50's) I was hit with a baseball bat so I know the feeling! This lid fit nice and tight and there was a hole in the top! OMG! I immediately remembered 3 plants I had growing in the clear plastic pudding cups! I just knew they would fit perfectly for a wick system! Man I couldn't wait to get back to home to try them!! I just KNEW they would fit! My brain already knew!!!!

Sooo, I leaned over and asked my friend, her mom, and her neighbor if I could have their empty cups. Of course I had to explain, but my friend's mom piped up and said, "Oh these are for her plants!" My friend's neighbor called to her husband (he was walking around eating his ice cream) and told him to save his and why. So as everyone got done with their ice cream they passed the containers to me. Oh goodie I thought, 6 containers with lids! The other night we didn't get lids with our ice cream. We dined in,,,,maybe that was the difference, I dunno. So we kept visiting and next thing I knew her neighbor's husband came back with a bunch of them! At least 20!!!! AND the spoons!!!! hahahahahahaha, he went to all the people he knew and asked them for their containers! I laughed so hard! And the little plastic pudding cups fit PERFECTLY in the top! And the spoons? Well we can always use plastic spoons around here! So that is the story of that! Rosie

Pix of the Culver's cups!
