We have lived in our house for five years, and our kitchen was UGLY and small, featuring mismatched countertops and cabinets, peeling linoleum tiles, a tiny sink and faucet, dirty old blinds, a sickly green color on the walls, and mismatched appliances.

We updated with the goals of keeping as much original character as possible and not spending a fortune as we will probably sell in the next year or two. We did all of the work ourselves, installing a Kohler farmhouse sink, refinishing the existing cabinets, installing open shelving, new hardware and fixtures, cork flooring, butcher block countertops, new dishwasher, new paint, and probably a bunch of other things that I can't remember.

We are so proud of our little kitchen now, it seems to have a whole new life! What do you think?
