It really depends on your budget, and your cooking style, and certain preferences for weight. I'd always recommend a smaller set or to try out a piece or two in a line that you are interested in. Some people also prefer to buy US or European-made cookware.

Moderate Price, Fully Clad: Cuisinart Multi-Clad Pro, Cuisinart French Classic, Sur La Table house brand, Zwilling Aurora.

Some Restaurant-style, Moderate Price, Disk-Base: Vollrath Centurion, Sitram Profiserie. A little pricier: Paderno World Cuisine.

High End: Demeyere, which i prefer to All-Clad (easier to clean, much more even heating)

I wanted to add Fissler to that list. I had to decide between Demeyere and Fissler. Ended going with Fissler solea because they also look amazin, and I love the design and functionality of the lids (you can prop them on the side of the pan).

I do however own a Demeyere frying pan (I forgot the name, but it's the top of the line one) and also love it.
