Whatever you attached isn't here. I know what I would do, since I'm in a similar position thinking about renovating a bathroom. Look at a million pictures on Houzz about bathrooms; search for "tile". Go to a couple of large tile showrooms, and look at their layouts. Talk to their people & contractors. There's probably no single "right answer". Do what you decide looks best to you.

I'm also having the same problem with a new shower room we are having built. What i do know is that I will be using large tiles as I have experienced this before - it adds more scale to a small area than small tiles would. I'm steering towards greys, but the jury is still out
