Hoya Vey :(

Given that everyone had such superlative experiences with AH Hoya , I decided to take the proverbial Nestea Plunge, and place an order with them...Twas also hoping to garner a wee bit of nepenthe/ soupcon of solace as I am currently in the depths of ineffable despair / bereavement due to an unexpected and extremely devastating loss ( My furry soul mate, Border Collie best friend very suddenly succumbed to an insidious cancer, Sigh, basically in 2 days/ daze Gwyddion went from looking totally healthy/ normal to having minutes/ mere moments to live) :( hence I hoped ( more like fervently prayed) that some new life to focus on might help a wee bit....Well it's been 9 days ( Thai time) since the plants were mailed and alas there is no updated tracking info per the USPS website beyond this :( >> "..Preshipment >>
We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece.

*** I've written to Maxne twice and today she responded with >>> Your box is delay from Post. Tomorrow i call to my post again. Sorry for your inconvience." ......

Anyway am feeling beyond verklempt and tres worried , ( ala am not sure where my Hoyas are or if they are even alive, ) Plus This is definitely not good timing given my current circumstance :( ... Thanks for listening,,,,

Im sorry this happened to you. Have you check the shipping using the Thai website?

That might be able to offer you more info on where your package is. It could still possibly arrive this week.

My boxes were just shipped last Friday, and they are already in Federal Way, WA. They should be here tomorrow.

Do not hesitate to call USPS and have them run a trace on the package. It may have actually moved, but USPS is having issues updating their tracking...I do know that. Also, I always turn on text updates for my International orders. Keeps me informed, sometimes even if the website has yet to update.

I will say this: one of my more recent AHHoya orders was stuck in Customs for 10 days. Took a total of 15 days to get here. Plants were fine. A total of 1 lost leaf. Just one.

Thanks Andy... Am hoping they will still magically manifest ( been Busy Praying to the Patron Saint of Geographically Challenged Plants and Demi Gods Du Jour ) Meanwhile Maxne said she will call her post tomorrow..Hopefully will be able to glean some pertinent particulars as to the plants' current whereabouts .( Otherwise might have to get out my Hardy's Boys Detective Kit >> the Botanical version)..Hmmn Am wondering,,,, Since there is a dearth of details other than" Preshipment" , would this necessarily indicate that the Hoyas never shipped, or could they have left Thailand yet never made it to the US ?? or did something go awry after arriving to the states ( ala Post Traumatic Address Disorder.) & were last seen heading to the nearest train tracks with a handkerchief and a stick clutching a partially congealed map of Venezuela...

Thanks Aurora for your input. I did call the USPS and they indicated they had the same info that I did...I will try contacting them again in case that status has changed...

I am also so sorry about your beloved dog since i love dogs. I have two chi(13&6).

Hope your plants will arrive well.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that feeling of heartbreak and it's awful. I hope your plants arrive soon and in good condition to focus your attention and love onto them.

My Hoyas and citrus trees are my loves and big distraction I need throughout the days of raising a special needs child. It's heartbreaking for me to lose a Hoya. I'm lucky to be getting a greenhouse this fall for my citrus trees - I'm still not sure if I'm going to put my Hoyas in there as I wasn't planning on heating it that high for them. I may just keep the Hoyas in the house in one of my those portable greenhouses.

I thought with the weather breaking it would be a good time to order from AH Hoya but I think I will wait to hear about your experience. Thanks.

Thank you Sweetheart2015, Monica and Jan for your kind words :)

Day 11..Just got home....Twas Another Day spent botanically bereft, However After checking the USPS website 4, 5678. 712 minus the square root of pi times ( rinse and repeat) ,I finally espied with my squinty eye some updated tracking info !!!...My plants are currently in New York . not sure if they just arrived ala Ship Ahoya or have been hanging around checking out the local sights (with the requisite Kodak Brownie) ...Either way Am keeping my paws and all accessible appendages tightly crossed, ( so much they are starting to resemble a double helix ) that my AWOL order will be here in a few days ( amidst considerable angelic fanfare) and I won't have to call in the dreaded plant priest....

Sweetheart15, I love dogs too ( did Herding Dog Rescue for 10 years till last summer) and Gwyddion was the catalyst ( started what I call my OCBCD = Obsessive Compulsive Border Collie Disorder) ;)

Monica, my plants definitely help me to transcend challenges. . I have an extant head injury , Late stage Lyme disease as well as a litany of other not so toothsome orts in my somatic snack-pack ( ala if my body is a temple, then I'm am atheist :) and until last Winter was totally housebound for 9 years straight ...My animals & plants were and still are my whole world, they definitely reign supreme in my hierarchy o' needs....
