DH and I bought another fixer-upper because we are insane. I know you can't help with that! Anyway, we've already made a few improvements to this kitchen. Next is lighting. The kitchen and LR have cathedral ceilings. There is a ceiling fan in the sunroom which we will replace with a new fan with a dim-able LED lamp, but how do we add general lighting to the kitchen?

We will have the electrician install outlets for plug-in undercabinet lighting on the L part of the kitchen. We are planning on three pendants for the island, and another over the sink. Hubs doesn't want can lights.

This will eventually be a rental property, so I'm trying to keep the spending reasonable, yet meet my needs for the next few years. Based on the floorplan, what would you suggest?
