WOW is that beautiful!!!! How lucky are you to have this growing in the ground, I could only wish. I think you should definitely get some more.

I live in South Alabama zone 8a and in the winter it does get cold but not for very long. We do get frost and maybe snow every few years. Amaryllis are my favorite flower and I am blesses to be able to grow them outside all year long. Some do better for me than others but I have been pleased how well Cherry Crush does for me outside!

Oh, how us northern gardeners envy you guys who can grow directly in the ground!!! When you get good performers like (Cherry Crush aka Opal Star) why not buy more!! A huge stand of those in bloom would knock your socks off!!!

That is my plan.... I want to collect a few and plant them all close together to make a beautiful display. I think I would go crazy if I wasn't allowed to plant my amaryllis in the ground year around. They are my favorite and to know I was limited to a small space of them would be so depressing.
