I want to share with you my experience with sun exposure, first pic is with a filtered sun exposure and second is with direct morning sun till 10 am, after that filtered, is the same plant, first bloom is from 15 days ago, the second open today

I love growing hybrid tea roses. My favorite is called 'Double Delight.' It's the photo I use for my avatar. Its blooms start out a creamy yellow color, but in direct sunlight, the petals turn a deep red, and they are so fragrant. If the blooms open up on a very cloudy day, then they don't color up as much and stay a creamy yellow color with just a hint of pink around the edges.

Your photos immediately reminded me of this trait. It's cool to see happen in other plant species. I can't decide which or your blooms I like more. As for my 'Double Delight,' I prefer it when they change color. It seems like the hotter and brighter the sunlight gets, the deeper red and more fragrant the roses become. Thanks for sharing, they're so lovely.

Goegeous, looks like it depends on the temperature to give out the richer colors, seen it in plummies, new for me here:)

Quite a difference and this is something I have had with many of my own. Some with same or similar conditions given, differ from one year to the next.

You mentioned hat the first bloom was from 15 days ago and the second bloom from the date in which you posted this.. Was the first bloom the same as in the Photo in the fist day of opening or has it faded? Just to clarify.

Love the colors in second photo.

Rick, both are different flowers, the first pic I've took 15days ago when it opens, the other bloom opens today and pic taken today also, I was very anxious to see this particular bloom because I've been observing the difference of colors days ago. :)

Both flowers are very nice. That pink is so deep on the second. I'd be happy with either or. ;)
