I have an oak kitchen and similar cabinets. I went with a cream with a touch of beige - just enough to stand out against the white trim a bit. If you like color, a sage green would be good or maybe a lightish blue might work, though the blue might be pretty, it might not be too kitchen - like.

I recently refreshed my oak kitchen. Pictures in my "my pics" idea book. It might not be your style, but i know it is hard to find oak cabinet pictures.

Gray is very hard to match well with warm wood tones. Together they can be a little drab.

It is only "dated" to those who think perfectly good cabinets should be changed out on a whim of fashion:)

The cabinets are lovely. I very much like the blue in the letter E in the home sign....take the sign to your paint store and find pale or lighter shade of the same color. If unsure, ask for a color consultant; most paint stores will have one on staff.
