Kitchen design experts- help please!

Love our kitchen - but very dark. Convinced hubby to get cabinets painted - probably white color with maybe little glaze. Counters have to stay. What backslash should we go with that will look nice? And maybe the center island cabinets a gray? Wall color will also change to more neutral.

If you have cabinet color ideas/wall color ideas and mostly backsplash ideas- thank you in advance!

I would wait on wall and backsplash, until you've at least decided on your cabinet color. Also, your island seems a bit small to be useful, if the counter doesn't extend.

Thinking cabinets like this maybe. The guy we had come give us estimate thought we should decide on and install backsplash first.

You already have a 4" backsplash. Are you removing it? I agree the island seems to clutter the space but if you are keeping paint it white & the walls lighter before painting the lovely cherry cabinets you have.

This may help. The backsplash and wall colour is usually decided upon once the cabinets are done and the counter top has been selected. At this stage you just need to develop a sense of direction.

Have you considered a cement tile? This is the Cluny pattern from https://www.granadatile.com/kitchen_backsplash_tile_photos.php. The Cement Tile Shop also has a gorgeous pattern named Madison. It was used in the Barndominium kitchen in Fixer Upper. I am very seriously considering it for my own remodel. Lots of gorgeous tiles in the Mosaic House site too. Good luck!

111ideahound I love your wallpaper suggestions- what is the first one called, source? Thanks. It may be to busy for that wall, but I would love it in a bedroom or bath!
