    That's a native Serpentine that was endemic to the site, not commercially available.

    Any ideas how to replicate something like that? We want to build columns/pillars for lamp posts that look old in front of our colonial Virginia home but can't find the older colonial looking /English looking rock.

    The best answer I could give would be to check with local stone yards or find local masons who have done historical projects. In California, 1950 is an old home, so it something we don't grapple with as frequently.
