Wow! You're lucky. We haven't seen any since a cold front moved in a few days ago. Temps are warming up again so I'm hoping to see a few before it's all over. Don't have a feeder up, just lots of still blooming plants. Maybe I should put up a feeder. :)

I've seen a record five hummers still in my yard this afternoon. We're getting our first frost/freeze tonight so I have to cover the garden. I hope it gets no lower than 32, briefly. The hummers will have to navigate their way under the sheets to feed first thing in the morning.

I don't mind if I don't see them, it's not like I look at the feeder every time.

But I wanted to see evidence that the sugar solution is decreasing, which hasn't been doing that for several weeks now, and I still change it every couple of days.

So based on last year and this year, it seems I don't even have that many stragglers. Of course, each year will be different, but without any signs of them coming around, I have removed the 2 feeders that I used.

My last three hummers left in the morning on Tuesday, October 18th. I'll keep an eye out for any stragglers.
