All clad 3 ply vs 5 ply

I currently own 6/7 pieces of all clad d5 cookware. I am looking to purchase more pieces and i am having trouble deciding between the d5 and the tri-ply line. I've been trying to research and have heard that the D5 line is slower to respond to heat and the triply has more control and responds faster to tempersture changes than the d5 line does.

Does anyone have any experience with this or have any knowledge?

Can anyone explain the difference between the two lines in terms of cooking on one versus the other. . A better explanation than one has 3 ply And the other has 5 ply. Thank you
