My home is actually two old log homes ( one-circa 1750 , one-circa 1850 ) .They were brought to our 5 acre wooded land , and turned into one four story house . We are currently remodeling some aspects , but definitely keeping the rustic look .

1894 house with eclectic furnishings that flow together nicely, add that artwork from our travels and it's quite visually stimulating :) Oh also add a amazing collection of shells from all over that can be found as both functional & decorative. Beach house would be best to describe it I'd say

Colonial farmhouse, with a sprinkling of craftsman, a hint of French country, and a soupçon of cat hair.

Spanish colonial (lots of wrought iron and tiles)

Retirement remodel in progress (for the next 2 or 3 years). 1976 manufactured home in a secluded and uncrowded waterside retirement community. It is one of the earliest that offered an open plan.

Decor and touches are a meld of 1880-1930 reflecting the use of those styles during mid-twentieth century (footed bathtub/pedestal sinks, framed mirrors, dark wood, red oak and heart pine. shaker style woodwork, chair rails, wainscoting, arched doorways, groin vaulted ceilings, pops of stained glass). Basic color scheme is a nod to the mid 70s of chocolate brown, dark taupe, vanilla and a punch of pale orange.

Looking for a Marushka screen print for the huge master bedroom. Maybe we'll be done by 2020?

Furnishings are a mix of contemporary and midcentury modern. Renovations we did are contemporary, but the older house we bought has some transitional elements that we haven't changed (yet).

Arts and Crafts.

I voted Traditional because the bones of our house are definitely traditionally "Low Country" style - but I like adding unexpected colors and textures to the living areas, so maybe it's transitional as well.

Anyone here have one of those Arts & Crafts style bungalows? I always wanted one but they're never in the areas where I live. I did find one in the UP of MI but it would have been one heck of a commute for my husband for work.

@Susan Schutz -- when we were house-shopping last February/March, we looked at several from outside and went to a couple open houses. The little ones were cute but too little! and the big ones were money pits.

We had friends that lived in one of the little ones, that def. deserved the term bungalow. Very clever built-ins, great use of space, I coveted it at the time... but fast forward 30 years and I am finally embracing my Maximalism!

i feel that i needed to add a couple of different views. the walk in pantry with the barn door has been the feature that i love most. i could never do without one again.

What ever you would call the style of the photo above near your vote esction...my house is almost identical...colours...furniture the works....I call it eclectic contemporary.....

Mine is a 70's era prow house (built in 2000) with a coastal decor inside.

The house itself is an 80's contemporary. The inside is Scandinavian modern.
