Are these more salad for wildlife? I'm thinking of planting some muhlenbergia varieties. So far it seems the deer, rabbits, packrats will eat anything until it gets established, even resistant native plants. Or the javelinas will dig them up for the roots. But if I protect them with wire cages until established, what are their chances?
