Lovely, especially World Peace. We are so spoiled here with sun, that I'm getting tired of this rainy weather already lol

Silver shadows is such a cool rose. I really like the dark green foliage against the light color of the bloom.

The chicken coop drama is hilarious. :)

The rain today in my part of NorCal was just a consistent drizzle. More like a mist. Like a "sunny" Seattle day.

Thanks Judy. I was just out there takin' pics of the girls, and didn't realize at the time what a silly story it worked out to be! But they are some silly birdies. Sooo entertaining.

I'm with you Dan... I know we need the rain... but personally, I could do without it! Lol. Such a mess I had to fix out there in the chicken run this morning. The new section had sagged down and had about 50gal of water on the tarp we put over it. I had to get another 2x4 and push it up and push the water off the tarp... again. This time it went all over the inside of the new section, making everything all wet and messy. Oh well, the chickens had fun digging around in it throughout the day. I'm sure there were lots of bugs that came up for them to chow on.

    Thanks Sara-Ann!!

Cori Ann I was so surprised to see that SILVER SHADOWS bloom looking so off color. Of course, I love it, but it's not the norm for that rose. Usually it's a good bit more lavender. Hope it does it again tho. So your rain was a misty drizzle? We had a pretty good downpour for several hours. Not exactly a torrential rain, thankfully, but it was no drizzle. Didn't last all that long tho. I suppose it'll start up again tomorrow...

Great blooms. Special Occasion, Fascination and Colorific are my favourites, Are they fragrant?

I agree with Judy! By the way, you know your chickens as well as you do your roses...lol

Ahhh Henrik, I really don't know on those roses what their fragrances are like. I don't grow for scent, I grow for the beauty of the blooms. I rarely take them indoors, preferring to enjoy them out in the garden. Some are not easy to reach, due to the way I plant them. LOL So I don't often check scent on them. Sorry!! I keep saying I'm going to try to remember to check them, but I always forget....

Kentucky_rose, unfortunately, when I do something, I go all in!! Research, experimentation and obsession... LOL But I do love my chickens. They're the best thing I've done in yrs. Not only for the eggs, but just the entertainment and stress relief of watching them and interacting with them. They just so funny. I wish I had a couple of acres and could have hundreds of them free-roaming (and eating bugs and weeds...)!!

How pretty 'Special Occasion' is fully opened. Gorgeous blend of colors on 'Fascination' this fall. Glad it lived. And 'World Peace' also a lovely blend.

Is Henrietta number one in the pecking order? LOL

Ohhh.... so many lovely beauties, the "Girls" included. So glad FASCINATION survived it's lovely bloom.

Irisgal, Henrietta is probably around #5 in the pecking order. The two Black Sex-Links, Elvira (the Alpha hen) and Morticia, are the bosses along with the two Barred Rocks, Griselda and Esmeralda. Henrietta and Gertrude, the two Easter Eggers, are next and then the younger ones, who get chased a lot, Frederika and Josephine, my beautiful Golden-Laced Wyanodottes. It'll be interesting to see what happens next yr when I add a few more ladies. I'm hoping to get a couple of Light Brahmas and a couple of Blue-Laced Red Wyandottes. It's amazing how many different varieties of chickens there are. Almost as bad as the roses...

The roses are gorgeous but the chicken definitely stole the show.. oh the drama lol
