Can I compost these bean pole plants?

I have a bunch of bean pole plants. They have been very productive and still producing beans in our cold zone 5a.

I will remove them soon and would like to compost them. However, some of its leaves are discolored. I'm not sure if it's because the plants are naturally dying or if it's due to some sort of disease. I ask, because my garden is always cursed with disease problems.

I saved the seeds, but if it's a disease, has it been transferred to the seeds. And how can it be killed if it's also inside the seeds?
