Kitchen floor coloring

I renovated my kitchen and I stained the cabinets a dark brown called Java. Then I put new stainless steel appliances and installed black and white countertops with tiny hints of cranberry. Now I'm looking to redo the floor and have no clue what color to do. The room attached has wood laminate so I don't feel like would would make sense unless I can get the exact same color. Any thoughts?

1. I, too, love the green. 2. There is a website www.woodlooktile.com (I think that is correct, if not it is close enough to do a search.). They have a nice selection and will send samples. 3. I had laminate in my last kitchen. I loved it, but would not do it again. 4. DuPont has some AMAZING stone-look tiles in a range of materials. They also will send samples.

I would go with something of a similar color and color value as the countertops.

I would look at light/off-white floors that compliment the counter top in a stone or tile look. Adding laminate into a kitchen is a bad idea....and you won't find the match to the rest of your home anyway (if it is more than 2 years since the laminate was installed then the floor will be discontinued).

To be clear, you would be replacing the white tiled floor with something that would be very close in colour. You would be replacing like with like. Just an updated version of what you have now.

Have fun. Remember to remove the tile before installing something new.

Psst. I just painted my hall bath a very similar limey-green. Nice to see someone else not on the gray bandwagon :-) Unless you are going to change it, then... never mind!
