Bedroom updates

I want to update my bedroom by adding a linen tufted headboard, and changing the lamps. I want to keep the Henredon furniture. It is quality and I like it. So, I have two bedside tables that are needing help. The brass one must go as it is too short. My first question is what should I replace it with? I am thinking a black enameled Asian chest at 27 inches high. Thoughts on this would be appreciated.
What I am thinking of doing with other bedside chest is changing the legs out for an additional two 1/2 inches in height there. That would bring that bedside table to 27 ".
What kind of legs should I put there if I can't find the higher bunn ones? What kind of lamps ?

These pictures go with the post about bedside tables that are the wrong height. Hopefully this will follow that design dilemna.
Sorry I am not real computer savvy.

The problem is what wood would match the other furniture? Obviously they won't so what are my options for end tables? I was hoping to save one and get rid of the very small brass one. Any ideas? All I can thing of is black lacquered Asian ones. Any other thoughts? I need the storage space so , please consider that.

    Use two pendant lights.

You don't have to match the wood or the style.

I love your furniture. It looks classic and expensive. I also like the brass chest. Since you need to add height to both nightstands, why not add the same base to both nightstands, just make one taller than the other so in the end, both nightstands are of the same height? You could perhaps add the same base to your other chest of drawers to tie everything together. If your husband is handy, perhaps he can make bases like these? Or find a carpenter to make them for you?

I can't imagine it would be to terribly expensive and yet bring a unifying touch to your bedroom. However, I'm not sure a linen headboard would work with this asian inspiration. Consider an oriental inspired fabric.

Wow. That fabric is pretty. Where did you find it. I could skip the tufted look I was going for and choose that material.

My husband is extremely handy. He will make the headboard. I am not trying to keep things Asian necessarily. I am removing a large Asian screen that has been next to the mahogany bedside table in the sitting area of bedroom. The brass end table is not in good shape. It must go.
So does anyone have an idea for a bedside table to replace it. If possible I want to keep the wood table. My husband can stain 4 " legs for it, making the height 27. The old brass one presently is 21", dwarfed by the bed. No one has commented on my black lacquered chest as its replacement.
Tufted or not tufted for this room for the headboard?

I would think outside the box and start scouring consignment /antique stores for something quirky. Next to my 4 poster bed, on ' my side' I use an old sewing table. The Husband opted for a matching chest to the mahogany bed. It works for me and isn't cookie cutter!

A black lacquered chest will make the room lopsided. Asian inspired fabric for the headboard with lots of padding rather than tufting. Lightly use black accents in bedding and other décor. Here's a pretty fabric idea: https://www.houzz.com/products/flax-neutral-asian-floral-linen-woven-cotton-upholstery-fabric-prvw-vr~55090559

I live in Florida and the four sliders surround my pool. The first two pictures are opposite each other and are the ones I would like to replace. Double pained Pelli windows are in top contention presently. My present sliders are single pained, builder grade and have little UV protection. So the 3rd and 4th pictured sliders are not being replaced and may never be replaced. The first picture is in my dinette area and is used a lot. My hardwoods have sun damage from the intensity of the sun. The second pictured slider is in my master bedroom and is never used. I have sheers there for privacy and the room has carpet which does not seem affected by sun. My dilemma is that new sliders have a wider frame around the glass than my 24 year old ones. Will that look weird? They are more substantial. I had considered French doors as well. They were nixed because : 1. I would be using my bedroom sheets still for privacy and it would look weird. 2. From the kitchen, my pool view and garden gets somewhat blocked. So, what do u all think?
