Favorite fragrant high-medium light intermediate orchids

Trying to find the best options that are suited to the growing conditions I have in my sun room based on what has been successful already. And I love a fragrant orchid! Curious to know what your favorites are?

What I grow well:

Cattleya

Laelia

Dendrobium (hard cane)

Vanda

Neofinetia falcata

Phragmipedium

Coelgyne usitana

Paphiopedilum

Phals - don't want or need anymore!

Oncidium - meh

What I kill:

Dracula :(

Miltonia

Miltoniopsis

Masdevallia (I can keep them alive, but they aren't really blooming)

Suza, that is a very wide list, sometimes it is better to concentrate on what you grow well, rather than trying to grow everything. Though to be the Champion grower of one of the local societies, you do in fact have to try and grow everything. (Cymbidium society excluded).

Those Zygopetalums are supposed to be easy, but i've found them difficult and not many are benched at the local society.

Best perfume. B. nodosa

Strongest perfume. Some of the Stanhopeas

Worst perfume. Many of the Bulbophyllums

Looks like you are already growing fragrant orchids. You are successful with many different types. Not sure what your question is?

I see a lot of sun and hot weather in the summer! I'm on the opposite side, I have masdevalia and numerous miltoniopsises. Phals too, one wilsonara and paph delenati. Vandas, dendrobiums and cymbidiums are out of question :(

Encyclia cordigera is a favorite fragrance of mine. It has a nice chocolate fragrance. My encyclia Green hornet has a clean lemony like scent which is pretty nice too. Both would work for you.

Zygopetalum are at the top of my list for fragrance.

I have lately been interested in Chinese cymbidiums, I picked up a Ensifolium "Iron Bone" just last week. Ensifoliums are smaller and don't need the cold temps like the other types and they are said to be fragrant.

I also like Encyclia Cordigera, I have the Roseum type that you could smell as soon as you walk into the room. I divided mine this spring and would be happy to send you one if you like. I need to make space

I have and like encyclia roughly profuse. Not only smells nice but lasts a long time. I have a lot of Brassavola Little Stars. It grows like a weed here. The buds are close to opening. Any day...
