It seems like it grows every day too, probably close to 3 inches long now. The camera angle is kind of weird so you can't tell how long it is

I hope someone responds it sure looks odd.

Yup, a seed pod, cool looking thing. When the time comes, if you care to share any seeds, I'd be interested pls.

A few years ago someone here shared seed (Sue Tran if I recall correctly). I had some lovely seedlings for a few months, would love to try it again.

Congrats!!!

I think it has another pod starting now too. How would I share the seeds? I don't mind doing it but someone would definitely have to walk me through the process. I already have the first one covered to catch the seeds. Thank you so much for the replies!!

Do you think it crossed with another hoya's flowers? How different do hoya babies look from hoya parents?

From reading online, hoya seeds have very good percentage of germinating if plantedas soon as possible from the harvest. I am currently growing hoya seeds of mindorinses red star at the moment. Happy for your own seed pod Shelle51911. Good luck.

I would share the seedlings (~3 month old seedlings), not the seeds.

If you are going to attempt sharing seeds, the best way to do so is to either wrap them in a damp paper towel (wet the paper towel, wring it out, lay it out flat, sprinkle seeds on it, and fold it over seeds one time), and insert into small ziplock bag. Send priority mail 2 day. you could also use one of those tiny dip cups with lids. Add a bit of 50/50 potting soil/perlite in the cup, then sprinkle seeds on top, close lid. Ship priority 2 day.

Be sure to leave the pods on the plant when you cover them with the pantyhose. Just slip it up over the bottom and secure with a little twist tie or string. Then check often for when it splits open. Congrats on those. I rarely get them here, but have had a couple on H. australis Mrs G. and a pubicalyx before. It is fun to start the seeds.
