how deep is the refridgerator?

We just had our refrigerator delivered. said it was 35 inches deep. find out it's 39 inches deep, no return.... need to reconstruct the kitchen design.

Oh bummer! This fridge I think is 35 deep but the configuration strategy can work with any depth. You size the width of the cabinet that backs up against it to be the depth of the fridge. Any tall cabinet on the other side is the typical 24" depth and you pull the front of that cabinet up to align with the front of the fridge. And voila! It all looks built in and the fridge does not project out too far beyond the cabinets.

Do the refrigerator doors knock into that shelf on the right though? It looks like you wouldn't be able to fully access the inside of the refrigerator with this configuration, unless the refrigerator pulled out more to allow the doors to fully swing open.

Since there is a shelf next to the refrigerator, is the refrigerator enclosed by cabinet material or is the right side of the frig dry wall?

The right side of the fridge is a 3/4" cabinet panel. The wall cabinet is fastened on the right side to the wall and at its back to the cabinet above fridge. It is securely fastened.
