Yes, most of my potted plants are in wooden hanging baskets. They get good airflow, the roots can do what they want and I do not cut roots to move the plant, and the wires are handy with green single strand 18g wire anchored on the hanging wires. Stakes not needed. Especially handy for tall plants.
