are the squares a form?

Each square is exact. Did you use a form and if so did you build them? They almost look like a dark side pieces placed to make the box look? I really love this, would like to try it in my back yard. If you could share the art of design that would be great.

There is a concrete block base and the squares were fabricated on site out of Bronze. It was built from dimensioned drawings. It became quite complicated and the craftsmen were essential.
