Do you mean comments or threads?

You can't delete your thread after a short period of time. If it's a duplicate or mistake, another houzzer can flag it , you should put a message to Houzz staff in the comments there, asking for deletion of the thread.

    For comments, see above :)

There is a window for deletion, not sure how long it is, but as Kathy said you must go into site using browser, not app, to have the option at all.

A comment is something you say on a thread. A thread is set up by an OP (original poster.) it is a code all its own and takes a while to learn. If you set up a thread and people comment on it, I don't know if it can be deleted even in Houzz.com. It does give you an short option to delete a thread, not sure how long that is. If you make a comment on someone else's thread you can edit or delete for a longer time. I type on an iPad and it has another mind of its own so I edit a lot. Eke. Do you have another question?

Yes, autocorrect is beyond a joke. On a decor site, wouldn't you think it would learn to stop substituting Windows? No, it doesn't! Windows Windows Windows Windows Windows !!!!!!!! It's such a pane!!! When did a brand name become more important that a logical word in a sentence? I have hung the curtains on the Windows. Grrrr!!!

You can turn off auto correct....

I need auto correct but I am not good at training it. It needs training for shortcuts but that is time consuming.

For the price we pay for iPads now, autocorrect should work correctly. There were less mistakes in older versions, what the heck is going on where software gets worse, instead of better? Consumers are up in arms about autocorrect. We see a lot more mistakes on Houzz now. I'm seeing them in news articles!

It is true they have added more software to guess what you are going to type. I think you can turn that off without disabling auto correct totally.

I gave up changing capital letters a long time ago, on casual comments. If I'm writing something formal I do, but it's a pain. As for punctuation, why can't they get that right? Then it will stop on a word, highlight it, and not let me continue typing unless I delete the word and retype it several times. I didn't have that crud with the old mini iPad, but pay twice as much to upgrade, and I get this new annoyance!

I think Houzz should bring in edit/delete on the app, because of the problems with autocorrect alone!

I think they need it on the app too.

Hopefully they bring it in soon! I notice above, it substituted a lot instead of what I typed, alot. I'm so sick of that! And we're instead of were!

If a young person wanted to make a lot of money they should learn coding and write apps.

Or an older person. I taught piano and organ to people over 60.

Google autocorrect memes, for a laugh.

Alot isn’t a word. Of course it’s going to correct it to a lot. That’s why it exists. Hah

    Kathy has the answer.

It won't work on mobile apps ( my ipad at least). Go to your desktop computer, I have Safari brower, go to your profile, your activity, find your post, scroll down to the bottom of it, before the comments/responses start, and you will find a menu..edit.. etc and there you will find thankfully.. DELETE.. and its gone! Thank goodness!

Kathy saved the day for me! Thank you, Kathy..

Houzz.. please allow people to edit and delete their posts! It should not have to be this hard.
