The wooded plates are stained before or after placing them on the column? Are the edges of the plates cut at a 45 or 90 degree angle.

The slats are a really great look and it's important to finish them prior to install to maintain the even finish on the slats. Thank you for your inquiry.

I, too, love the wood treatment of the columns. Just beautiful. Is there drywall underneath the wood, or how did you frame it?
