T5 HO issue

I've been growing indoors for 4 years now. Ive used different types of lights throughout the years. I bought a 4' 8 bulb T5 HO fixture made for growing 1 year ago. Since I have been using it I have had troubles with heat. Unless it is strung 1-2 feet above plants it gets to be 80-90 degrees. WAY TOO HOT. Soil dries out too fast plus the light is probably not providing good light when I have it that high when trying to grow younger plants.. Wonder what my cooling options are? To add more detail, when I have been using it I have had only 4 bulbs running at a times and i couldn't imagine what would happen if I ran all 8......
